Description

Gold Fields Ltd. is a Johannesburg-based global gold producer listed on the NYSE and JSE. In H1 2026 it produced 1.267 million attributable gold-equivalent ounces, up 12%, at an all-in sustaining cost of US$1,893 per ounce. It operates mines in Australia, Ghana, South Africa, Chile and Peru, and guides 2026 output at the upper end of 2.4 to 2.6 million ounces.

Salares Norte in Chile produced 337,000 ounces in H1 at US$269 per ounce, and Gruyere in Western Australia became wholly owned after the Gold Road acquisition in October 2025. The Windfall project in Quebec is in development, with project capital at the upper end of US$1.7 to US$1.9 billion. On 29 September 2026 Northern Star rejected Gold Fields' unsolicited proposal, and the shares fell about 12% that day.
