Description

GFG Resources Inc is a TSX Venture-listed gold exploration company focused on the Timmins Gold District of Ontario, Canada, with a project portfolio comprising the Pen, Goldarm, and Dore gold projects. In August 2026, the company signed a strategic earn-in agreement with Barrick Gold at the Pen Gold Project, under which Barrick can earn up to an 80% interest in stages by funding exploration, a preliminary economic assessment, and a feasibility study, with an initial 60% earned by delivering an NI 43-101 technical report and establishing a resource of at least 1.5 million ounces of gold or gold equivalent within 6 years.

The Barrick agreement includes total cash payments of C$1.2 million to GFG over 6 years and potential exploration expenditures of up to C$17.68 million, with a firm commitment of at least C$4.0 million and 5,000 metres of diamond drilling within the first 3 years. Separately, in September 2026 the company outlined a new large-scale gold-in-till anomaly at its 100%-owned Goldarm project, including a drill hole intersecting 375 gold grains over 16 metres, and expanded its regional exploration program. No NI 43-101 resource estimate has yet been published at either project.
