Description

Erdene Resource Development Corporation is a Mongolia-focused gold and base-metals developer whose flagship Bayan Khundii mine, held through the 50/50 Erdene Mongol LLC joint venture with Mongolian Mining Corporation, poured first gold in September 2025 and reached commercial production in early 2026. The August 2023 feasibility study reported Proven and Probable reserves of 464,900 ounces at 3.8 g/t gold (513,700 ounces including the Dark Horse satellite deposit), targeting approximately 85,000 ounces of annual gold production from a high-grade, near-surface open pit. Q2 2026 output reached 11,709 ounces of gold (up 37% quarter-over-quarter) at an AISC of approximately US$2,000/oz, trending down as mined grades improve toward a targeted US$1,500/oz.

Beyond Bayan Khundii, Erdene holds the large-scale Zuun Mod molybdenum-copper project, where an updated resource was announced in October 2025 and further mineralization expansion reported in February 2026, alongside the Altan Nar polymetallic project and ongoing district exploration that intersected a new copper porphyry system (30m at 1.25% Cu) in January 2026. These assets position Erdene as both a near-term Mongolian gold producer and a longer-dated base-metals optionality play.
