Desert Gold Ventures Inc. is a West African gold developer advancing the SMSZ (Senegal-Mali Shear Zone) Project in western Mali, one of the region's larger gold exploration land packages, alongside the newly optioned Tiegba gold project in Côte d'Ivoire. The company's flagship deposits, Barani and Gourbassi, carry a combined Measured and Indicated resource of 310,300 ounces plus 769,200 ounces Inferred, and the company is actively constructing a 200 tonne-per-day gravity processing plant at Barani, targeting commissioning around July 19, 2026 as a staged entry into production.

The most recent (November 2025) SMSZ Preliminary Economic Assessment, based on a subset of the Barani and Gourbassi resources, outlined a 10-year mine life producing 113,100 payable ounces of gold, after-tax NPV10% of $61 million, after-tax IRR of 57%, initial capex of $20.4 million, and AISC of $1,137/oz at a base-case gold price of $2,850/oz. The company also holds the early-stage, 90%-optioned Tiegba project in Côte d'Ivoire as a second-country growth asset.
