Belo Sun Mining Corp. is a Canadian-listed developer advancing its 100%-owned Volta Grande Gold Project in Pará State, Brazil, one of the country's most active mining regions. The project's installation license was reinstated by Brazil's Federal Regional Court (TRF-1) in February 2026, though as of September 2026 Brazil's Federal Public Prosecutor's Office has asked the Supreme Court to suspend it pending resolution of an underlying Indigenous Component Study lawsuit; the company and Pará State have opposed the suspension request.

A feasibility study outlines proven and probable reserves of 115.97 Mt at 1.02 g/t Au for 3.8 Moz gold, supporting a 17.2-year mine life averaging 205,000 oz of annual gold production, starting at 3.5 million tonnes per year and expanding to 7 million tonnes per year by Year 3. At a US$1,200/oz gold assumption, the study shows an AISC of US$779/oz, post-tax NPV5% of US$665 million, IRR of 26%, and after-tax initial capital of US$298 million.
