Description

Batero Gold Corp. is a Colombian gold and silver explorer focused on its 100%-owned La Cumbre deposit within the Batero-Quinchia Project in Risaralda, part of Colombia's Mid Cauca gold-copper belt. The company's shares resumed trading on the TSX Venture Exchange in November 2025 following a temporary halt, and new management, drawn largely from Peru-based Antioquia Gold and related groups, took over in May 2025 with a stated objective of advancing La Cumbre toward a development decision.

A 2022 preliminary economic assessment outlined measured and indicated resources of 135.7 Mt at 0.503 g/t Au (2.195 Moz Au) plus 6.43 Moz Ag, supporting a 14-year, two-phase mine plan (6-year Phase I averaging about 75,400 oz Au/year, expanding to an 8-year Phase II averaging about 131,700 oz Au/year). At a US$1,750/oz gold assumption, the PEA showed an AISC of US$770.89/oz, post-tax NPV5% of US$481 million, IRR of 32.1%, and combined initial and expansion capex of roughly US$417.8 million. No PFS or DFS has been completed, and the company currently faces material financing uncertainty.
